I was debating picking two high-end starters with my 2nd and 3rd overall, but decided to stagnate them. I'm surprised I got Mason still when I did.

I don't know what those people who still haven't picked any are going to do. Very risky strategy, because I think even if you drafted a few Crosbys, the 2 goalies will be better for you in this pool.

The pace has been fine since Kontiki returned from vacation. The draft will get done in time so let's have fun and enjoy it.

It's the fantasy baseball strategy... dump outfielders, take one great one early and then take pitchers (G) and top players at more specialty positions (Catcher, for example, similar to D) so you have more "top" players, and assume that some average OFs will do fine. In this case, I basically assume that since the top C/LW/RW are gone, and I don't know enough about hockey to pick a good sleeper, I'm better off sealing my team with two of the top Defenders, two good goalies, and then hope mid-level wingers and centers will do me just fine. We'll see ... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it works better when you have some 5-tool sleepers...

I think people were hesitating on him since they fear that Nashville won`t do a lot of winning-- I actually think a lot of him as a keeper but took goalies from San Jose and Ottawa based on the idea ( hope) that they will win a LOT

I think he complements Fleury well for this reason. Fleury will get lots of W, Mason will have a great sv%, both will get the odd shutout.

There's one keeper in particular that no one's picked yet that will surprise everyone. I'll pick him up as a third in a late round...
