        I agree with the "have fun" message but there is a point in Asher's comments. The only way we get done is if people make an effort to draft reasonably quickly. When people post but don't pick, it appears they are not making that effort. I say "appears" since we all have lives and I don't know what may be going on in any of yours. Oh and I took the "keep bugging and I'll take 12 hours" comment in jest which is surely how it was intended

        The fact that Asher expressed himself in his usual quasi-confrontational Asher way , should not detract from the message.

        WE all need to make an effort to keep this moving quickly. If we all took "just" 6 hours each, we would never get done in time. I know that I have been compiling my lists and will start sending picks to others in advance if my turn is approaching and I may be unavailable for even a few hours.


        On the flip side, if its one a.m. in someone's time zone, cut them a little slack. I know the turn can sometimes surprise you when it stagnates a while and then whips through 8 picks super-quick

                nye is the default commish because he set up the league. I don't think he's said he doesn't want to be, but if people have a problem with him in that role, we should sort it out ASAP.

                  To be honest, I'd prefer Kontiki be commish. It was fine last year, and Kontiki isn't involved with any conflicts...

                      When somebody is online and posting, it should not take two hours to make a pick. That is very unreasonable for everyone else waiting, to say the least.

                      Again: I agree, this should be fun for all of us, not just a few (namely two people who, in the past 24 hours, have posted when their turn was up but still took two+ hours to pick, forcing others to wait...unfun indeed).

                      I think several people need to apply priorities. For instance, when it is your turn to pick, pick first and then engage in discussions...

                        In my mind the duties are minimal. Flip the switches and turn the ignition ant the end of the draft. I don't feel the commish should do things without the overwhelming approval of players. That is what I intend to do if I remain the commish.

                        There is one added element. Longevity. We have a URL for an ongoing league spanning multiple seasons in the future. The commish has to be around in the future. We've had some losses of regular posters lately, so this could be a factor.

                            Do you understand that people are waiting on you? If so, do you just not care?

                            Personally, I would like to make my picks soon as I won't be available in the early evening...and I don't like to keep people waiting.
