Amending my prediction of the last two generals to Nimitz and Patton. Our American poasters appear to be very consistently healing American generals and very consistently hurting generals who are NOT American. LOL

Now that my ignorance of WW2 generals has been exposed I'm just going all in on Patton(Actually George C. Scott).

I admit that I have a bias in favor, or against, generals I casually remembered from my reading.

Field Marshal Erich von Manstein (Germany)
Heinz Guderian (Germany) (Generals Lutz and Guderian must share the credit blitzkreig) -
            General Georgi Zhukov (USSR)
            Field Marshal Erwin Rommel (Germany)
            Admiral Chester Nimitz (USA)
            Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto (Japan)
            General Omar Bradley (USA)
            General George Patton (USA)
            General Douglas MacArthur (USA)
            Bernard Montgomery (UK)

I have read a lot more books about Americans than non-Americans.

I totally show my impartiality by a Zhukov -2. He was a very capable guy no doubt, but also had his failures (like Op. Mars, pretty low coverage in Soviet historiography for a long time).

Feels like comparing apples and oranges with this bunch. Not sure which talents/flaws to prioritize with the wide spread of command levels and opportunities.
