IIRC Model was more competent than Kesselring in purely military terms. Then again he's probably been a bigger fanboy of smallmoustacheman

Dowding: Hadn't heard about this guy. Impressed that he stood up against officers who wanted to engage the luffwafffe directly and carried out his own plans with much success. But his participation in the war was too short-lived to be considered.
Manstein: Created the plan the invasion of France/involved in the major battles in Russia/big victory in the "backhand blow". War Criminal.
Emil Mannerheim: Winter War commander in chief, but did he actually make any strategic or tactical decisions? Not really.
Albert Kesselring: Luftwaffe guy. Not involved in france invasion. Failure after failure after Poland, not sure why he's even on here. War Criminal.
Heinz Guderian: The actual good german tank commander. Hitler naturally dismissed him. War Criminal.
General Georgi Zhukov: Led the Soviets to victory. Brilliant.
Rommel: Crappy General who has been lionized b/c he fought the British (and lost), and he didn't participate in genocide.
                        Bernard Montgomery: Unexceptional.
                        Marshal Phillipe Leclerc: Who?
Admiral Chester Nimitz: Good, overshadowed by MacArthur.
Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto: The only Japanese general who understood modern warfare.
Army Leader Galadriel: One of the few to see through Sauron's early guises. Had long strategic foresight, but not much a tactical commander. More of the planning and logistics staff officer type. Only real in-field experience was the successful seige and caputer of Dol Guldur.
General Omar Bradley: Really I don't see why Bradley should be on the list and not Eisenhower. Bradley was good though.
                        General George Patton: Coolest general.
Douglas MacArthur- Planned out the entire Pacific theater strategy and was 100% successful. Yeah lets vote him off 4th

I put Dowding in for "The Battle of Britain". That was a very important battle that we absolutely had to win. A lot of credit goes to Dowding for his planning and control. I agree he was not in for long however his contribution was very large.

Kesselring ran a very good defensive campaign in Italy.

I do think that Yamash ita and Nimitz and Yamamoto were all better than MacArthur. We already lost one Pacific general so I can push down some Western front first.
