There is no logistical tail for the few Russian ships. A few years back one of those pieces of junk broken down and had to sit in Havana harbor for four months while it awaited repair. This happens a few times a decade and it is purely a show the flag operation. In the event of war they would be sunk in probably less than an hour. They are all shadowed by American warships.

At least the stranded Russia sailors got to sit in Havana enjoying the company of desperate impoverished Cuban hookers and drinking low quality rum.. not that Russians would know better.

If it is true, that Russia is deploying new vastly faster undetectable nuclear warhead delivery vehicles then that would certainly force the West to place nukes in Ukraine (and everywhere else near Russia) in exactly the same way you claim the West doing so would force Russia to act! Either Russians really believe that shortened nuclear weapon travel times force acts of war and that would also mean that Russia shortening their nuclear weapon travel times would force the West to go to war against Russia -or- they don't really believe shortened nuclear weapon travel times force a war, in which case it doesn't matter what nukes end up in Ukraine. It's impossible to simultaneously support decades of development and deployment of faster nukes and insist that doing so isn't an act of war while claiming that shortened nuke travel times for everyone else *are* an act of war.

One of the biggest obstacles to Russia's success in the special military operation has been the problem that it seems it has become far more rewarding in Russia to report to Putin something that he wants to hear than it is to report a truth that he doesn't want to hear and especially something he believes to be untrue. Russia as a whole might have good intelligence and awareness of issues but nobody ever wants to be the one telling Putin something he doesn't believe so every problem that requires a course correction from him can simply fester as an open wound treated solely by people near the problem attempting to throw each other under the bus (or out the nearest high-rise window).

Ukraine supporters living in Ukraine's various democracy allies no doubt are tempted to feel a bit of smug gratitude that their governments do not suffer from this particular glaring weakness that they see in Russia.

The carefully filtered and tailored set of information these consumers receive creates the reality the voters live in on election day and it is this reality, rather than the painstakingly analyzed and corroborated one the intelligence community compiles for their leaders, which their politicians will campaign on when seeking office.

If you want to know what's *really* happening in the world your work may be at least as daunting as that faced by Vladimir Putin. There's really nothing for it but to read a wide variety of news sources pandering to a wide selection of consumers and even subject yourself to distasteful content pandering to idiots whose values and worldview is just wrong. Even if you're willing to do that your work may still be just beginning. You can't just plot a viewpoint midway between the two extremes on discrepancies. Instead, you still have a never-ending slog of difficult critical thinking to grind and a whole bottle red pills to consider downing if you *really* want to have the best shot of an accurate view of the world.
