  • As the lady details it is actually against state law as well as laws in many cities to fix pot holes (they want to make sure it is fixed right but more importantly it takes work away from corrupt unions and their workers if people just do it themselves). This is such a problem vigilante pot hole fixing groups have spring up to fix pot holes, the cities and state fine them, and then they run go fund me campaigns to pay the fines. All to fix the pot holes garbage Democraps refused to fix.

          • I can agree with that. Most Democraps and a very large number of bureaucrats. I would even add a minority of Republicans. I say this has a former Democrat and someone who lives in a Democrat dominated state in which things are going absolutely to hell.

              • In other news, how about what is possibly the biggest snake den in the world?
The Narcisse snake dens are known around the world for the thousands of snakes that typically emerge from the ground each spring. Despite global acclaim, Manitoba has no scientific monitoring program of its own dedicated to keeping tabs on the health of the snake population.

                • Watching a documentary on the aftermath of radiation leaks at Chernobyl and Fukushima. People moved away and the animals have free rein, other than the occasional intrusion of scientists studying the situations. Diet matters, the food sources used by birds vary and the consumption of radioactive material has a much more pronounced effect on the organs compared to external contamination. But other birds are doing well and wild boars are showing remarkable resilience. Animals are adapting to the radiation. Macaques in Japan are doing well, our closest relative among the radiated species. Some people are starting to move back planting sunflowers to absorb soil radiation.

                  • I know that what is meant by that is that sunflowers soak up the radioactive strontium, caesium, etc, and then the sunflowers are disposed of safely, and not scattered back into the environment. However, it reads like you are saying sunflowers are a better radiation suit that lead-lining (by saying radiation, not radioactive material).
