Old school friends described Kelley, who lived in nearby New Braunfels, Texas, as a “creep” who made no secret of his anti-religious views.

Now we have multiple sources that are all corroborating things. He was a militant atheist who decided he wanted to bag him some Christians.

His target is irrelevant, as is your consistent need to believe you are somehow a victim. Whether going after Christians, black people, gay people, country music fans, or whatever, the relevant headline is the same:

No one is contesting the fact that this guy was a sicko and that his victims were Christians.
Another sicko targeted gays at Pulse.
Another sicko targeted pro-choice people at Planned Parenthood.
Another sicko targeted children at Sandy Hook.
Another sicko targeted a country music festival.
Another sicko, another assault rifle, another bunch of dead innocents.

The common elements are not the nature of the victims, but the nature of the perpetrators: mentally ill, with a history of domestic violence, and access to assault-style weapons.

I never said anything about atheism. He was mentally ill AND an atheist. His atheism informed his choice of target, but it was the possession of an assault rifle - not the gun policy of the church - that caused this tragedy.

So, if we have a chuch shooting it is rather the norm tn the exception, that it is perpetrated by a christian ... and not (as you imply with "White atheist guns down another church") that it is atheists who normally do it

Liberals care a lot about people getting shot.
That is why they are the ones who want stricter gun laws, whereas conservatives are the ones who constantly invent excuses against tightening the laws (and even use ecuses to loosen said gun laws (for example Trump, when he got rid of Obamas EO which forbade the sale of firearms to menttally ill people)).
Obviously keeping their virtual penis substitutes is more important to conservatives in the USA, than making the USA safer for everyone

The narrative is somewhat complicated here, IIUC; I've heard that people with dishonorable discharges shouldn't be legally able to purchase firearms, while this guy was brought down by a pair of private citizens with apparently legal ones. This is the first time I know of that the "good guy with a gun" narrative worked out. Because Texas.
