Memory serves you poorly (no surprise). I did say that the principal was certainly liable, but lawsuits are at the discretion of plaintiffs.

The FBI is trying to identify all the perps. One has already offered to rat out his boss if he gets immunity. I doubt that Trump will end up proving to be more than a Useful Idiot, but Bannon and Priebus might be looking at doing some time. Certainly Trump has cooled on them and demoted them since the probe started. Damage control is the best guess.

And "they" would have lost if "they" tried to sue the Easter Bunny, as well.

I don't see anything here that is true. The FBI has not said they are doing any criminal investigation, and they have not said that they have any evidence against anyone. Flynn is being investigated by the DoD for an unrelated mater. This is why I'm done.

The FBI has refused to characterize their investigation (which means it is criminal, else they'd say it wasn't). Of course they are not going to tell the public what evidence they actually have, so lack of such announcements tell us nothing. Flynn is being investigated by a number of groups for a number of things, and has announced that he will only testify under oath if given a grant of immunity. As an observer, Mike Flynn himself, noted in Sept 2016, “When you are given immunity, that means you probably committed a crime.”

I reckon you keep saying you are done because you know you have no evidence on your side, and that the simple repetition of your ludicrous conclusion that, since the FBI has not announced the scope of their investigations nor the scale of their evidence, they have no such investigation, just makes you sound dumber each time. You've been done for some time now.

                          • Here some new #fakenews from #failing @NYTimes regarding russsias meddling with the election:

                            https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/06/u...nnan.html?_r=0

Looks like CIA and FBI already in August last year were suspicious about russia meddling with he election in favor or Trump and even informed some top members of the congress about it (during this time).
Likewise they already at this time were seeing signs of connections between the russians and members of the Trump election camaign team

                            Likewise, even before that:
Unknown to Mr. Reid, the F.B.I. had already opened a counterintelligence inquiry a month before, in late July, to examine possible links between Russia and people tied to the Trump campaign. But its existence was kept secret even from members of Congress.
                            Also interesting:
One factor in the C.I.A. analysis last summer was that American intelligence agencies learned that Russia’s cyberattacks had breached Republican targets as well as Democrats. But virtually none of the hacked Republican material came out publicly, while the Russians, working through WikiLeaks and other public outlets, dumped substantial amounts of Democratic material damaging to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign.
The article also mentions how party affiliation of people involved did a lot to prevent that the actual scope of russian meddling with the election became known to the public in time (before the election)

There definitely seems to be a swamp that needs to be dried out. Unfortunately a lot of the people surrounding Trump seem to be part of that swamp

IMO, their sources (two former government officials), are Harry Reid and John Brennan. Yeah, it should be used as an example of horrible journalism to teach future journalists. They must have to teach young journalists to forget everything they learned in college to write for the NYT. I mean it's like writing an article about the recent missile strikes on Syria and suggesting that Assad didn't use chemical weapons because Putin said so. That's how bad the NYT is.

As far as your suggestion that the Trump administration is the Swamp, Flynn wasn't the Swamp. That's why he is gone. I mean Trump fired him, but that would never have happened without the Swamp. Bannon isn't the Swamp, and he is no longer on the NSC. As far as the rest of them IDK.

Your article says that the CIA was focusing on FORMER Trump campaign people. That means Roger Stone, Paul Manifort and probably Flynn. Those are all clearly anti-establishment. All are gone now. Maybe Trump is no longer the same person he was either.

                              • Oh forgot about Carter Page! They got a FISA warrant on him. The Post says he's the only one they got a warrant for.

Officials have said the FBI and the Justice Department were particularly reluctant to seek FISA warrants of campaign figures during the 2016 presidential race because of concerns that agents would inadvertently eavesdrop on political talk. To obtain a FISA warrant, prosecutors must show that a significant purpose of the warrant is to obtain foreign intelligence information.

[How hard is it to get an intelligence wiretap? Pretty hard.]

Page is the only American to have had his communications directly targeted with a FISA warrant in 2016 as part of the Russia probe, officials said.

The FBI routinely obtains FISA warrants to monitor the communications of foreign diplomats in the United States, including the Russian ambassador, Sergey Kislyak. The conversations between Kislyak and Michael Flynn, who became Trump’s first national security adviser, were recorded in December. In February, The Washington Post reported that Flynn misled Vice President-elect Mike Pence and others about his discussions with Kislyak, prompting Trump’s decision to fire him.

In March, Trump made unsubstantiated claims about U.S. surveillance of Trump Tower in New York. Later that month, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and a Trump transition official, charged that details about people “associated with the incoming administration, details with little apparent foreign intelligence value” were “widely disseminated” in intelligence community reporting. He said none of the surveillance was related to Russia. The FISA order on Page is unrelated to either charge.
