I would probably need a passport. Road trip seems the most likely. Have to figure out where, though. Don't want to repeat my 2009 trip because THANKS FOR REMINDING ME OF MY EX *******S.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

Well then first figure out what type of weather you want to go to. If you're talking Dec-Jan, weather is kind of important. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

True. I should go somewhere with non-****ty weather. That would likely be the south, but that's where I spent much of the last road trip. We didn't make it to California, though. Of course, driving all the way to California from Maryland by myself might not be the most exciting time. I would have to get a friend.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

but then again midway is a hub so they might have better deals for me than for you
cross country drive costs that much in gasTo us, it is the BEAST.

Do an around the world trip over the summer, several airlines offer tickets where you can get a dozen stops for one flat price for an around the world tour, and then go to grad school after. You should take the GRE or GMAT or what not now and apply to grad school by the Nov/Dec deadline but you will still get a nice long vacation in so you should feel refreshed. The plane ticket would probably be 3k and budget another 3-4 for a really good time but you could do it for less if you had to. 5-10 thousand shouldn't be too hard to save as long as you are working.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Yes, a big trip is what you need. Travel, see exotic places, get drunk, and having meaningless sex in youth hostels with young coeds you will never see again. It is just what the doctor ordered.
Then mobe on to grad school.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Screw GS for now. Do you really need to commit the money and time for that now.
You might find a job that doesn't require it in the field and be better off down the road with the experience instead of the degree.
Besides, sometimes you can get a company to pick up a good chunk of the cost.
And I think it's time for something not school related for you. Get out there.
And for additional incentive I did meet my wife at my first job out of school. You never know.

I'm currently leaning toward not going to grad school in the immediate future. I have consistently been told that you should only go to grad school if you're absolutely sure it's what you want to do, and at this point I can't say that it is. I've enjoyed my schooling thus far, but because I've had to work throughout the process it's been grueling and socially deserted. Current plan for the near future is to leverage my degree (and research and TA experience) to get work a step above data entry/tech writing/customer service and just work for awhile, paying off student loans and having free time. Medium or long-term, I may go back to school again for... something. We'll see. But I did (or will have done) what I set out to do, and that's worth a whole more to me than improved career prospects and whatnot.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.
