What does that have to do with the actual subject? It's about as relevant as saying nuclear weapons ended WW2 and likely saved hundreds of thousands of lives, so therefore nuclear weapons are obviously a good thing and should be used wherever possible.

No, it doesn't. The Israeli state having guns proves that having guns is a good way to ensure your national defense (duh), but it proves nothing beyond that. Even if it did help Israeli citizens, all that would prove is that in Israels unique situation it helps them, not that it helps Jews in general which would be a nonsensical statement.

Hitlers NSDAP was elected because of economic problems the Weimar republic faced.
And his Ermächtigungsgesetz that gave him full power was pushed through the parliament because of "terrorism"

Free gun ownership wouldn't have changed anything about this.

Actually, never in history so many germans had access to weapons as during WW2 (thanks to most male germans being drawn into the military and, in the last months of the war, even people too old or too young were put into the Volkssturm)

I was not arguing in favor or against gun control.
What I deny are 2 things:
- The claim that Hitler was in favor of gun control. I also acknowledged that this claim is not 100% false: he was in favor of prohibition of guns for bad guys (jews). But he certainly was not for a complete regulation of guns for average non-jewish German.
- The claim that being in favor of gun control shows fascist tendencies. If you go back to German Nazi era, in fact being in favor of gun control was a common characteristic of Hitler's opponents, not proponents.

In other words, in Germany in the 1930's, being in opposed to Gun Control was not an indication of your political position, but being in favor of Gun Control certainly made you anti-fascist.
To call in Nazi Germany in the gun control debate is helping neither side.

That is because I don't know the history of it, nor what was intended.
I said nothing about Stalin (Soviet comunism), nothing about Tito (Yougaslavian comunism), Fidel Castro (Cuban communism), Mao (Chinese communism), ... because they are all different forms of communism and I simply don't know what their policies were concerning gun control.
I prefer to STFU than pulling something out of my @ss.
