Am I the only one who finds himself mentally appending "pectoris" to every instance of the word "mangina"? Like maybe it's when a dude has chest pains?

You're beyond hope.
1. Comply to some female demand. I have a female cousin who was 100% jealous of the ability of men to pee standing up. She thought women not being able to do it was one of the ultimate unfairness in the world. Today, she demands that her husband and sons pee sitting down, in the name of gender equality. If you don't do it, it means you don't care for women. Husband and sons comply to avoid endless discussion.
2. Out of shame. You have swallowed the equality argument, you are now convinced peeing standing up is an manifestation of your misogyny, your patriarchal privilege, your toxic male arrogance. You pee sitting down not because you don't want to upset some woman, but you are 100% convinced this is unfair. You voluntarily renounce your male privilege of peeing standing up because you are now aware and ashamed of how it hurts women.
The thing is, I’d happily trade in my male privilege for a world without them (urinals). I’m 35 years old and have never knowingly used one. [...] My desperation has been prompted by the invention of a urinal attachment to the standard domestic lavatory. It encourages the worst in us men: the indulgence of a certain Neanderthal instinct to consider ourselves different in every way from The Ladies. [...] But it’s surely the nastiest and grisliest way of affirming one’s testosterone levels.
(Peter Ormerod)
I pee sitting down for reason number 3. If you pee sitting down for reason number 2, you're indeed a mangina, a man who behave as if he had a vagina, a man who thinks that peeing standing up is the nastiest and grisliest way of affirming one’s testosterone levels.
And I would add that if, like Peter Ormerod above, you really think the one and only reason for men to pee standing up is to affirm their testosterone levels, then you have a problem not with women, but with men.Last edited by Dry; June 29, 2016, 03:16.The books that the world calls immoral are the books that show the world its own shame. Depends on why you would pee sitting down. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Well actually kid, I should thank you.
I grew up in the 60's, in the era of the "mad men" tv series. My father was actually an AD exec. How they depict their treatment of women as second class citizens is quite accurate to the period. Women were stay at home raising kids, and those that ventured into the workforce were either simple secretaries or discriminated against. That was the norm and men were taught to think that way. I was taught to think that way. Women couldn't have opinions because they didn't count for anything. As I got older, and experienced the change in attitudes on that, I wasn't perfect and also sometimes made fun of women when in a group of men. I probably still do on occasion.
But thanks to you, I am constantly reminded on how vile that mentality is and just how badly women were treated back then.
I sometime slip and make sexist comments but I have tried to make an effort to eliminate it.
