Germany shocked by Cologne New Year gang assaults on women
Americans always need an enemy. They want a war machine going for obvious gains for their war industries and of course to act as a joining force in a very disjointed country with no connecting tiisue that is tearing itself apart with racial divisions.
If they don't have one, they make one.
There is a second benefit to USA when they cause instability all over the world - as long as they're one of the "safe havens", capital will flow to them and all these printed dollars will not blow their economy up. There are two ways to make yourself a safe haven - to make your country better, or to make other countries worse. USA clearly uses second approach, given that it started more than 70 wars, conflicts, regime changes and invasions all over the world since the end of WW2.
As a general pt., the debate on this is highly politicized now in Krautland (and beyond) with lots of rumours, false claims and accusations (like the alleged gangrape of a 13yr old girl that made it into in Russian media http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a6823836.html ) that it is easy to fall for one hoax or the other, while at the same time there are of course serious cases like those happening in Cologne which should not be denied or marginalized in any way.
Actually, police didn't say where exactly that girl was or is she still a virgin, did she had sex recently? It's a basic medical checkup. So, they didn't say any facts to prove their case (for example, she didn't have sex), only their opinions that she wasn't kidnapped or raped.
Also, what about independent investigation? If Russian girl was raped, Russia can do independent investigation. If Germany has nothing to hide, that is.
What the hell are you talking about? The police concluded after the investigation that her story didn't hold. The vid "proving" it that made the round in social media has meanwhile be established to be from 2009.
Obviously a member of the ordio Pilosa, subordio Folivora ... commonly also called Sloth
Of which some specimens play a very funny role in the upcoming movie "Zootopia"

Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve." Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"
And re that girl - the story has taken a turn now to "there might have been sex, but she agreed to it". Which still could constitute abuse since she's a minor. Let's see what the story is tommorrow.
And just to be clear, if anything bad happened to her it would be as regrettable as any other case. But the gangrape version simply has not been substantiated - it is still rejected by police.
It all seems like a sticky wicket. On a related note Merkel has claimed that she would speed up deportations of failed asylum seekers. Is there any evidence that this is actually occurring in the numbers needed? This seems especially import as everyone is now projecting 2-3 million economic migrants posing as refugees in 2016.
Sweden may reject thousands of asylum applications

(CNN)Sweden's interior minister said his country is preparing to expel 80,000 asylum-seekers over the course of the next year, according to media reports.
However, his press secretary, Victor Harju, told CNN not to put too much stock in those figures. He called them vague, hypothetical estimates based on last year's numbers.
"It's that 163,00 people were seeking asylum in Sweden last year and, due to this increase, there will also be an increase in how many ... don't stay," he said.
Syrian refugees: Which countries welcome them, which ones don't
On average, about 45% of those applications get rejected, Harju said, which adds up to about 80,000, the figure that Interior Minister Anders Ygeman cited.
That's a higher rate of acceptance than the European Union's in which 45% of those applying for asylum for the first time (so-called first instance asylum decisions) received "positive outcomes."
Each individual application would be considered on its merits, the press spokesman said.
"We are not saying how many people should be deported from Sweden because everyone that is going through is individualized," he told CNN.
Charter flights for deportations considered
Harju said Sweden was already considering charter flights to deport migrants whose bids for asylum were denied, saying the government was investigating how such expenses should be accounted for in the budget.
Sweden also was considering coordinating charter flights with Germany for this purpose, he said.
Merkel calls for migrant quotas for EU states to combat crisis
The Swedish Migration Agency told CNN in an email that the charter flights would carry migrants who accepted the decision to deport them. In cases where an individual did not accept the decision to be deported, the case would be referred to police, the agency said.
Sweden, home to about 9.5 million people, is one of the most desirable final destinations for migrants entering Europe, and has proven one of the most hospitable host nations, taking in the highest number of migrants per capita.
Migrant crisis: Danish police won't stop refugees heading to Sweden
But the ever-growing numbers of asylum-seekers, combined with high-profile crimes blamed on migrants in Sweden and elsewhere, have led to the introduction of more hard-line policies toward migrants.
In Sweden, an anti-immigration party, the Sweden Democrats, has soared in popularity, polling at about 20% in recent polls.
Markus Wiechel, a member of parliament who is the party's migration spokesman, told CNN it was impossible to integrate tens of thousands of newly arrived migrants into Swedish society in such a short time.
More fatalities on journey
Refugees are still heading toward Europe in large numbers, with fatalities commonplace on the perilous journey.
At least 24 people -- including 10 children -- drowned in the Mediterranean Sea between Turkey and Greece after their boat capsized Wednesday evening, a Greek coast guard representative told CNN.
Forty-five people were on the boat when it sank.
Meanwhile, anti-immigration sentiment is on the rise throughout Europe, spurred in part by reports of mass sex assaults that migrants may have carried out on New Year's Eve in Cologne and other German cities.
UK to take more unaccompanied children
British Prime Minister David Cameron came under fire Wednesday for his comments about "a bunch of migrants" during a session of Parliament.
On Thursday, the UK Home Office announced that it will take in more unaccompanied child refugees from Syria and other conflict regions, though it's not clear how many.
It will be up to the United Nations to identify "several hundred children" to be resettled in the UK in addition to the country's pre-existing commitment to settle 20,000 refugees from camps near Syria.
CNN's Lindsay Isaac and Tim Hume contributed to this report.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

That's true though for the sake of historical accuracy, we have to mention the marshal plan.
Its only use was to stop the advance of communism but it translated to massive economic assistance right after the war.
