It's quite telling that you believe that the tragedy here is that the media has accurately reported that many Americans are stupid war hawks. The real tragedy here is that many Americans are stupid war hawks who would gladly bomb a non-existent country just because it sounds like it has Muslims living in it.

You also have to look at the context of the way the word is being used. That's there's different definitions. Prejudice can be racism, but it isn't always. For example, it's not racist to say that black people are good at basketball, except in a context where you are trying to dominate the black race.

If I'm saying he didn't make a racist comment at that time it is. Is a woman that just got raped prejudice? Yes, if she is afraid of men. That's not PC, and you would have to be a real creep to call her that, or at best have zero social skills. But what should we say about someone who says someone else is a racist just because they are afraid of black people because they were robbed by a black person. At least the first person is telling the truth.
