Ben is very strongly libertarian when it comes to getting government out of healthcare, welfare, gun control, minimum wage, etc. So much so that the ways he's strongly authoritarian can't quite get it back to center.

There needs to be another axis on those tests, based on how extremist your views are.

I really am a classical liberal, in the sense that I believe that economic and political freedoms are interconnected. I believe that we arrive at the truth through examining it but that requires that people are given a chance to be exposed to it. You can't get truth if someone is always telling you that ideas that are wrong should not be expressed. That, plus my views on the death penalty, that I believe that war should be conducted on international laws - my disagreement is not over that principle, but over what those laws should be. Due to how the test is written, that pulls me strongly libertarian, and you're exactly right. I can be totally honest about how I feel about porn, about gay marriage, homosexuality, abortion and pot, and still score out -1.5 because of that.

This year has been particularly tough for me. I have questioned His will for me many times, and particularly over the last few weeks. I believe because I have been well taught by those with much more insight than me. I obey because that is what He commands. I slip and fall and have to go to confession.
