In 1964 the pendulum was swinging to the left. The was no welfare state. People weren't sick of the hippies yet either. People were naive. Today is more like 1972.

Some rights republicans are trying to protect...

1) Rights of Christians to pray in school, not approve of what they consider sin, have Christian symbols in their local communities (ten commandments etc.)
2) Freedom of speech (yes I believe the democrats are trying to take it away.)
3) Freedom of Association, the right to the Boy Scouts to not allow girls and gays to join (whether they will or not is another issue).
4) Family Rights. Support families. They are important to our culture.
5) Freedom to control your health care. Repeal Obamacare.
6) Freedom to be safe. Tough on crime, national defense, and terrorism.
7) Economic freedoms. Not just lower taxes, but low regulation.

And of course lower taxes and 2nd Amendment rights.

Like I said, not perfect, but probably better than dems.

1) We have the right to pray in public, and in school, because of Republicans, because Democrats want to take that right away from us, just like you want to take the urinals out of public restrooms.
