How many potential terrorists do you imagine are going to tell you at immigration that they absolutely love violent jihad and terrorism?

Most of them don't start out as terrorists and if you can identify conservative sunnis, especially ones who went to conservative religious schools like the female shooter I'm San Bernardino did, then you are much better off then with the current system of not even asking. Hell, just profiling, there is that dirty word which people don't like but which actually helps, conservative sunnis would at least weed out the dumb ones. That is better than is happening now.

Exactly. Right now legally they cannot and it is retarded. The vetting process is so politically correct it is worthless.

There is still room to let people in but high risk groups need to be extra carefully vetted and all of these restrictions (no talking about religious beliefs, no looking at social media postings, no checking of phone records or meta data) need to be repealed. This is basic stuff we are not doing due to fears of hurting people's feelings but it is also absolutely vital for any vetting process.
