I good bomb never looks like a bomb.

The staff there was doing their job - I would have been more than fine if my kid was there.

And hey, this 'smart' kid can probably lawyer up now. So who's complaining?

Intellectual laziness makes me angry. The good news is that my anger shows I believe you are capable of more. That should tell you something about the people who no longer get me worked up.

You should not accuse people of being racists when they are just doing their job and keeping kids safe and maintaining a learning environment for them.

You're the lazy ass. It looks like it might possibly be a fake bomb. So he was questioned. That's pretty obvious.

Bombs often have timing devices which are essentially clocks. But what makes a bomb a bomb is the explosive. A timing device without explosives is just a clock. The only way this looks like a bomb is if you think every clock looks like a bomb. In which case you are an idiot, and you should not be in charge of anything.

As far as the 2nd amendment issue goes, I don't see how the government gets off restricting my right to arm myself with explosives. How are we supposed to effectively resist the redcoats without IEDs?

Honestly, with some of the students freaking out here in America, Sandy Hook and Columbine, for example, I don't believe they would have reacted any different if this kid was not Muslim. I would be the most suspicious of the nerdy smart kids myself, they are the ones who get bullied in school and will have the smarts to create an explosive bomb for revenge.E
Edit add: or just make something that looks like one to scare the ****tt out of the bullies.

I guess this one looked like a bomb. the kid is smart - he should have known better.
The kid probably should have been smart enough to know that his school administrators and the cops were morons, true. You don't have to be very smart in that city to know that.

The school had grounds for investigating. What they lacked grounds for (and the police likewise lacked) was any grounds to believe that a crime had occurred. The kid was subjected to illegal imprisonment, false arrest, and child abuse. I don't believe that anyone's criminal conduct here rose to the level demanding jail time, but at the least the school principal should lose his job and the cops all receive reprimands. The principal is supposed to be there to protect children, not abuse them.

They can cuff you if you are a suspect. He was. The only thing I'm not sure about is them taking him down and fingerprinting him, but unless I find out otherwise then I'm going to assume the police were doing their job, like a normal person and not a foaming at the mouth lunatic.
