I have a different perspective due to my time in Sweden.

In the Nordic model couples move in together after 2-10 weeks of 'dating' (the first and second 'dates' are usually very drunken hookups at the end of the night where they are likely not to know each others names).

Although many of them definitely consider marriage to be unnecessary, the little cherry you might add to your relationship after being together a long time and having kids/etc.

It's pretty similar in a lot of Europe including the UK. Marriage is still something people want, but living together is pretty much universally a first step, and often kids too before marriage.

Ca 1.25 month from officially getting together to engagement. This is very untypical me, I tend to do things slow, but things just was right. It's very quick, and if anyone else did the same, I'd say they were crazy. Still, I went with my heart on this one.

Obviously good Christians will not move in together without going to the next step: being engaged.

The next step is having a baby, and then sometimes after that there is marriage!

True. We're not moving in together, nor going beyond first base, until marriage. Kids will hopefully follow some time later.
