It's certainly not to convert anybody to Catholicism or to inform people about the teachings of Catholicism (except when those teachings precisely align with your prejudices). It's not to become a more moral or more knowledgeable person. Why exactly do you consistently behave like such an idiotic yet smug *****? One- it would be an impossible goal. Nobody is respected by all of Apolyton, about anything. So why should I care about that.

Two - the people that do matter to me here do respect me. That I care about. Is Loinburger on that list? No. could I care less that loinburger isn't on that list? Also no.

Three - why am I smug? Because I don't need or want your respect or approval? Am I claiming that your primary goal in life should be to obtain my respect? No.

I don't think Apolyton should be anything less than what it is, a place for people to talk and discuss pretty much anything. If there were another Catholic poster here - I'd have a very different approach. But there's not, at least not one who's prolife and supportive of the Catholic church.

Seriously - if your goal is to make me want to be more like you, you're doing the exact opposite. I look at this, and I see a small, petty, bitter man.

However, on certain topics and certain issues, you let your emotions supersede your rationality. It's a real shame. You could get a lot done if you simply applied your approach to one area of your life to the rest.
