The outlook of the Russian economy remains bad while Putin's politics just keeps making things worse for Russian businesses. The economy remains mostly just a raw materials export economy and the value of all of those Rae materials are down, industrial output continues to decline, agricultural output is flat despite Putin declaring he will increase domestic farm output, and farm output is unlikely to grow significantly even in the medium term due to farmers not having the money to invest in new land, new machinery, more fertilizer, more irrigation equipment. Transportation systems need a major over haul but that isn't going to happen as the state needs to conserve cash due to sanctions and what does get built tends to be way over priced due to rampant corruption and skimming by the political elites.
And now, as if the Russian economy wasn't in bad enough shape Putin had to go pick a fight with Turkey. Maybe the arrogant S.O.B. should have stopped flying in Turkish airspace after the Turks warned them three times in the past.
