Believing another race is inferior for me isn´t much different from believing your own race is superior. But I agree that Kauffmann had no plans for world conquest.

    2. Well, according to the strange world view of Hitler, they were striving for world conquest by other means (i.e. by drawing strings and influencing the world finances and the politicians of all states from the background). Of course, even if this would have been true, this would be no reason to exterminate a "race" ... but neither would IMHO starting a war be a reason ... if it were, the world would be devoid of humans by now

    3. As I said ... he intended to use more humane means than Hitler ... nevertheless, as you said yourself, his plans still were plans for genocide (and for reasons that had to do with a belief in assumed differences between the races, with regards to their worthiness of being allowed to exist)
    1) There's a qualitative difference between the beliefs of the two men. One is a non-interventionist striving for peace. The other is enraged with hate and bitterness, who blames all the people of the world for a mess that his own people were largely responsible for creating for themselves
    2) But all of that is buckshot. Hitler was a liar. That could actually be number 4, if I weren't lazy.
    3) But his belief in genocide probably wasn't motivated by believing that the German people were inferior, but by the belief that this would keep the U.S. out of European wars.

I guess it is to be expected that you would send Americans to die for people who hate them.

I see you have no understanding of the geopolitical situation in the world.

I AM a family of one of our soldiers...moron.

One of my son's who just graduated from college has become a member of the United States Air Force.

I would hate to see him go to war, but if the country calls, that is the job he has chosen. I will feel both fear and pride every minute.

He understands the need for the country to live up to its obligations and has a far better understanding of the world at 24 than I think you ever will have.

Being a gutless back stabber to your friends and allies is the stupidest thing ANY country can do.

So...once again, and this time with emphasis:

Turkey is not our friend. 59 percent of the people in that country have an unfavorable opinion of America. I have no idea why you would want your son to die for them.

                  • That reminds me of the time I invited the fat kid of my class to my parties. noone invited him.
I also instructed the class bully not to beat him up while on the premises.

Turned out pretty good even if he did eat all the chips out of stress

Reputation with who? Russia, or Turkey?

We should have gotten out of NATO long ago. Our rep with Russia could have possibly been well over 50 percent favorability by now. We don't need NATO. It's harming us.

I really must defend Mobius on this point.

It is grossly unfair to say Moby hates America more than anything.

Proof: Moby hates Australia as much as he hates America. It is therefore untrue to say Moby hates America more than anything.

                            • My comment on honouring the NATO treaty.

The United States signed that treaty. That signature is backed by the credit of the United States of America.

To dishonour the treaty is to dishonour the country, and destroy her credibility in the eyes of the entire world.

                              • Not a single country which signed that treaty would dishonor that treaty if push came to shove. They all know their word is on the line and that no one would ever trust them again if they broke their word. This is even true for the Greek government even if Paiktis does not like Turks.
