      • A group of Greek parliamentarians, former ministers accompanied by journalists paid a 2 day visit to Odessa - heart of the historic region of Bessarabia - at the invitation from a local NGO to get acquainted with the current development of Ukraine in light of the country's pro-European course, as well as the situation with the Greek minority in Ukraine.

During the first day in Odessa and meetings with local Greek minority representatives they found that the cultural and other rights of ethnic Greeks are not respected properly, especially the right of education in the mother tongue. Few Greek schools in the region are not supported by the state, they also face many obstacles when it comes to registration of property and heritage rights. There are many other irregularities which complicate normal existence of Greek clubs, organizations and cultural institutions. Visitors from Greece also mentioned the fact that their meeting with local Greeks left an impression that they were facing constant pressure and harassment from Ukrainian authorities - that had been partly confirmed in private chats with some Odessa Greeks.

Former Greek deputy defense minister and ex-MP Konstantinos Isychos also mentioned the problem of conscription of ethnic Greeks to the Armed forces of Ukraine and sending them to the South East of the country to frontline with the rebel Donbass. He pointed that local Greeks as well as other minority representatives "were not eager to kill their brothers".

Greek MP Vasilis Chatzilambrou said that he and his colleagues already informed the Greek parliament and Greek deputies in the European parliament about their preoccupations concerning the state of Greek minority in Ukraine.

The last day of the visit brought the Greek delegation more surprises and troubles when they found in the morning that they are simply blocked in the hotel by members of some radical organization carrying quazi-patriotic slogans.

That day the delegation was supposed to participate in the round table in Odessa where they intended to discuss questions of democratic development of Ukraine and in particular the situation with the Greek minority in Odessa and nearby regions together with local officials, members of Greek community, journalists. Due to this blockade and "unexpected" abolishment of the conference hall booking the whole event was cancelled.

Their appeal for help to the police was simply ignored. Only with the help of diplomats from The Greek Consulate in Odessa they managed to leave the hotel in diplomatic cars. According to local organizers of the round table Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) arrested several people who helped with the arrangements for this visit and "advised" other participants of the discussion to stay out of the event.

Nevertheless in a few interviews at the end of the 2nd day, including one of the Odessa TV channels, Greek representatives expressed their disappointment with such a scandalous ending of their mission. Greek MP Vasilis Chatzilambrou has stated that "the situation in Ukraine is not developing in favor of democracy and basic human rights, especially the right of assembly, are not respected in Ukraine". This opinion was shared by other members of the mission, former ministers and MPs Konstantinos Isychos and Nadia Valavani. All of them were astonished with the fact that they were unble "to move freely in the city, meet with people, and participate in open and free discussions".

The scandal with the high ranking Greek delegation has been already brought to the wide public knowledge inside Greece and has become a breaking news in the local media.

The Greek representatives have also informed their colleagues in the European parliament about the scandal asking them to seriously consider and discuss it. The Greek side intends to send through its Embassy in Kiev a protest regarding "the improper treatment of Greek representatives in Odessa".

In EVERY EVENT the US backed nazis.
Always from the end of WW2 onward.

These are just logical conclusions of such a support.

So some Russian lackeys from Greek radical lunatic left go to Ukraine, complain that some citizens of Ukraine are unhappy to kill their "brothers" (Russian citizens from Bashkartostan driving Russian tanks, presumably, although how so many Greeks can be brothers with so many Bashkirs is a mystery) when equally drafted as other Ukrainian citizens, also that they have no special schools for free (I'm sure Russia has plenty of Greek schools, right?) and are righteously angered when their obvious pro-Russian agenda of painting Ukraine as a nazi state is protested by locals they act all surprised and sad.

I laugh in their old-school bolshevik faces, and also at their pathetic and transparent propaganta attempts that can only fool people stupid enough to have elected the politicians Greece has for the last three decades.

              just one point of interest:
is protested by locals they act all surprised and sad
So the right wing sector IS the "locals" there and the authorities are backing them, good to know.

Also the article says something about sevre violation of human rights. Unless of course that's alright with you.

The article says some fluff about it, all reportedly said by same lunatic leftwing radicals.

Look, they came to a country fighting an insurgency (preceded by annexation of a piece of Ukrainian territory) instigated by a devious cynical neighbour who wants to portray Ukraine as a nazi state, so far succeeding in persuading their own populace (see Serb et al) and some lunatic fringes of Europe both left and right. Some lunatic leftwingers come and try to assist in spinning this false narrative and get picketed. What is your issue here?

                • A country isn't free if it's arresting its minorities Saras and they don't let people speak to each other and they don't let them have property and rights.
That's not bolshevik rhetoric, that's rational rhetoric.

I can come to vilnius and say that it belongs to iceland and the most you can do is laugh, but if you attack and I call the police, the police should come and defend me. Not arrest me.

And they didn't even do that. They were summoned to talk to a freaking forum about minority issues and harrased by veritable nazis which were covered by the authorities.

                      • 4 Russian warships launch 26 missiles against ISIS from Caspian Sea

Four Russian Navy warships have fired a total of 26 missiles at the position of the terrorist group Islamic State in Syria, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced. The missiles were fired from the Caspian Sea.
“Four missile ships launched 26 cruise missiles at 11 targets. According to objective control data, all the targets were destroyed. No civilian objects sustained damage,” Shoigu said.

The missiles flew some 1,500 km before reaching their targets, probing their efficiency.

Four warships of the Caspian fleet were involved in the missile attacks, the Gepard-class frigate Dagestan and the Buyan-M-class corvettes Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich and Veliky Ustyug. They fired cruise missiles from the Kalibr NK (Klub) VLS launchers. The missiles used are capable of hitting a target within 3 meters at a range of up to 2,500 km.

EXCLUSIVE: Russian jets 'intercept' US predator drones over Syria, officials say

Russian fighter jets shadowed U.S. predator drones on at least three separate occasions high above Syria since the start of Russia’s air campaign last week, according to two U.S. officials briefed on this latest intelligence from the region.

“The first time it happened, we thought the Russians got lucky. Then it happened two more times,” said one official.

Both officials said that the incidents took place over ISIS-controlled Syria, including its de facto headquarters in Raqqa, as well as along the Turkish-Syrian border near Korbani. Another occurred in the northwest, near the highly contested city of Aleppo.

That's irrelevant considering how nazis used his thoughts in their propaganda.

You Westerners (and Saras in particular) are not that bad or evil people, really. You are just brain-dead. Utterly brainwashed and manipulated by your Western propaganda machine. And your half-dead brain always produces monsters for you. A monstrous Russia in this case.
