I guess, it sounds logical, but shouldn't people have a real choice? Why people in Europe can vote for different political parties, and people in USA can't?
Wow, just wow. Do they even have schools in Russia?

      Well, not completely strawman.
Of course it is an asset that not giving a receipt is not so widespread in belgium but colony exploitation played a part in overall wealth.

I am of the idea that maybe the flemish were harsher than the walloons but that's just a guess.

Why do you think US political parties are important enough to be taught in schools of other countries? We learn what's important for us, for example, who won WW2, and no, that's not USA either:

              • Well I guess you skipped school the days they taught about US political parties.

And if you actually believe that the US had no part in winning WWII you must have skipped a few grades.

Or the schools just suck as much as I originally thought.

And this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057831/?ref_=nv_sr_1 tells us everything we need to know about Greece.

Your two major parties have only minor differences in their policy: both are right-wing, with Republicans somewhat more to the right. That's a very narrow spectrum. Bernie Sanders is treated as a radical socialist loonie, whereas he would be a respectable social democrat anywhere in Europe.

What do they teach in American schools about political parties of post-1905 Russia?

With only two parties that both have to play off the middle they may look similar but still have considerable differences. But yes, when you have a binary system they will be closer. As always you have to look at each candidate since there, the differences are more apparent. (which is why many americans don't always vote for the same party.

It's been so long since I was in school. The only thing I remember about post 1905 was that they were really only important at the local level and mere window dressing at the national level so they didn't spend a lot of time on them. They actually spent more time on pre 1905 when they didn't really exist yet. Which was more colorful and easier to make Russian look like the barbarian nation that was important to portray to Americans at the height of the cold war in the 60s. Once I got to college and took classes in Russian History we got a slightly less biased version.

To be fair 1905 seems a retarded date to go from. Yes, you guys got your asses kicked by the Japs then their was a failed revolution followed by the Tsar half heartedly reforming political laws. Not that it matters as the Tsar was killed in 13 years so those reforms never amounted to much. There weren't exactly fair elections from 1918 through the end of the civil war and by the time the civil war was over the USSR was a dictatorship. Yes, I know, Stalin had worthless, powerless supposed political parties in the Supreme Soviet but the reality is they did what Stalin told them or they were executed.
