The voting system in the UK is ****ed up:
UKIP here has over 2 million votes counted but only 1 seat. SNP has 1.4 million and 54 seats. You can make a similar criticism of the US system (and I would probably largely agree with the critique*) but it's plainly obvious that the multi-party politics displayed in this election basically can't work without a system that is proportional like Israel's.
*I doubt there has ever been or will ever be a US election that shows such a ridiculous disparity between voting and outcomes. This is plainly undemocratic.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

PR is doom for conservative parties. Sure, UKIP might get a few more seats, but they'd never form government again. Better for UKIP to do the hard work, as Labor did to destroy the Lib-Dems under first past the post.UKIP here has over 2 million votes counted but only 1 seat. SNP has 1.4 million and 48 seats. You can make a similar criticism of the US system (and I would probably largely agree with the critique) but it's plainly obvious that the multi-party politics displayed in this election basically can't work without a system that is proportional like Israel's.
Now the UKIP is a credible party with greater than 10 percent. This was a great election for them if the Cons form a majority government.
