Visit Tuscany (Florence and Sienna are amazing, especially uif you read up a bit on their history) or Greece (mainland as well as Crete) and tatse the birthplaces of our Western culture...

Enjoy the laid back atmosphere of the provence for a few days (not the coast but the hinterland is quite nice)...

Southern Spain has some amazing cities (I liked Cordoba a lot) with a lot of stories attached to them...

Visit the low lands (Belgium and the Netherlands) for a more northern cultural atmosphere.

I just at got back from two weeks in South Africa. It was an amazing trip and we went around the country. Best resort hotels, safaris, whale/shark diving, beaches, lots of history, etc. for two of us it cost about 11k but you as young single dude could do in much cheaper

There's a Christmas tree somewhere in London with a bunch of presents underneath it that'll never be opened. Well, if you're ok with America, I would say take a trip to Texas. Texas is awesome. There are some really nice spots in San Antonio with the Missions, and in Austin with the Capitol building.
