    • I am curious what makes me anti-Christian though. Care to cite?
That you'd request that a Catholic would endorse gay marriage in order for you to render assistance to his project?

I'm saying, as a convert myself, that it is difficult to truly appreciate Catholic art without being Catholic. That is not to say that someone who isn't Catholic cannot value it, but there is plenty of stuff there that non-Catholics just will not understand. That has been my experience with it both before and after.

And I was brought up Catholic so I am well enough versed in teachings of the church and its history.
But you've also chosen to walk away from it.

Not like the retinal art discussed in this thread.

No, of course you haven't. Keep those blinkers on.
I've been to Louvre once. The queue was only five people. But when I came out again, it was enormous. Luck. I was inside Louvre for hours, a great place. Only saw a fraction of what was there. Mona Lisa was tiny. It was a great day.

              • True. But there were loads of great art other than her.

                • Definitely. I skipped the whole Mona Lisa room when I was there, it was full of people.

i think I mentioned it above, but the Egyptian and ancient Greek sections were amazing, and when I was there there was an exibition of islamic art which was very interesting.

Are you allergic to museums or art galleries ?

Perhaps it's just that you don't know an awful lot about art.

Having seen what passes for your dress sense, I would certainly diagnose the existence of some kind of visual agnosia, colour blindness, etc.

I'm fairly sure that possession of retinas would be required to see those paintings....
