Truth. I'd probably still spend more of my time in the antiquities wings of the Louvre though. I can appreciate Renaissance Art and definitely see its appeal but I like Surrealism in my paintings. My favorite museum in the DC area is the by a wide margin is the Air & Space Museum. My least favorite is the Smithsonian Art Museum. This should give a pretty good insight into my tastes. Now, the current discussion about OMG someone doesn't think paintings are SUPER FASCINATING *aneurysm* is amusing, but quickly getting boring. If I don't find it interesting, the opinion of a total imbecile on poly (here's looking at you molly bloom) is not going to change that.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

If there were an art museum within 30 minutes of here where I could see it in person that's great*, but I'm not interested in flying across an ocean and spending gobs of money to look at something hanging on a wall when Wikipedia has it in a form that isn't stuck behind six inches of security glass.Originally posted by Al B. Um, i don't think paintings are super fascinating either, but from that to find them utterly boring there is a long stretch...
