Yes. There is. It's called "humanity".

It seems as if you are arguing against your own failed understanding of what the word "fact" means.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Give me your definition of fact. My definition is "a true statement." Humanity, being a) frequently in error and b) generally not in agreement cannot possibly be an authority on true statements.

There is no authority on true statements.

I don't have a personal definition of the word "fact". Try a dictionary. It might solve this problem you seem to have. You should abandon "your definition" and go with the one the rest of us* are using.

The world's leading online dictionary: English definitions, synonyms, word origins, example sentences, word games, and more. A trusted authority for 25+ years!

"something that actually exists; reality; truth"

"a truth known by actual experience or observation; something known to be true"

"something said to be true or supposed to have happened"

So there are three definitions of facts here: true statements, statements, and statements known to be true. Considering theory of knowledge is a deep and controversial area of philosophy with lots of varying opinions even among the modern philosophical community, the third definition affords your even less charity than the first. The second definition includes false statements, so we definitely shouldn't believe all facts under that one.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, dictionaries are one type of specific "authority" when it comes to facts.
To us, it is the BEAST.

              What a couple of dip****s.

Opinions are subject to change. Facts are not. Dictionaries change.

I've dismissed everything else you've said.
