It's totally died down here. It was only an issue when the first fellow showed up with it here - and the initial transmission. After about 10 days after the second nurse was in the hospital, I haven't heard much of it.

Given that Canada and Australia have taken effective measures, yes they blame the federal government for not putting the lives of them and their families as a priority. They were not impressed it got here and are very strident in the opinion that it wasn't just carelessness, but deliberate. They also noticed how fast things got shut down when it was NYC that was affected, and noted that they stopped playing games then.

Earlier this year the country’s only virologist, Dr Shek Humar Khan, was killed by the virus.

The outbreak may well get quenched the following months, but it's going to take the countries years to restore the already meagre provision of healthcare.
