      Noticed that a number of those outbreaks listed had case numbering in the single digits to zero, right? Less than 10 had over a hundred cases. Replace medicine with any other kind of product and argue it's reasonable to expect companies to spent serious R&D money on something that sells highly infrequently in tiny numbers, while not even the guy that discovered ebola ever expected it to become a serious problem. Call it a market-failure that needs to be rectified with subsidies or direct govt research, but don't blame for-profit companies for acting rationally.

        Did you add up the numbers?
        (I'm not sure if Belgian math is the same as other math)

        hint: it's more than a dozen... or even a few dozen...

        and the fact that it goes back decades doesn't help your case

                            When I said that it has occured for like a dozen times I did not mean to say that there only have been that many cases, but outbreaks. An estimate that wasn't all that far off the amount of relevant outbreaks that actually have happened.

                            I didn't bother to wiki the exact number beforehand, so shoot me.
