Not their religious beliefs, no. Elected officials are expected to keep their religious beliefs to themselves. You virtually never hear politicians here talking about their gods, especially not around election time. Why do you think we find it so bizarre that US politicians talk about God all the time? Over there that would make them basically immediately unelectable.

Bull****. No-one talks in those terms unless they're trying to send a message about the current state of the country. Politicians don't stand up to give pure history lessons.

That not really the point. She's the head of the Anglican Church, not the Archbishop of Canterbury.

****ing atheists. Y'all really have no understand of religious beliefs and how they may effect a person's underlying viewpoint.

In the US you may have people talk about their faith a bit too much, but at least we get how it impacts their views.

She's also the "head" of the UK, how exactly is that a "point"?

Lots of people are perfectly capable of compartmentalizing their beliefs and I'd be wary of any politician who sounds like a religious fanatic.

Like I said, y'all just don't get religious believers. People who are actually religious (as opposed to just going to church so they can say they are) don't compartmentalize their faith. They can't.

If anything, so called "atheists" understand how religion affects beliefs more than you do. Religion is intellectual laziness. Religionistas don't have views of their own. That's why they flock to religion. 'I don't have to figure the world out on my own! That's hard work! I'll just rely on the musings of bronze age mystics"

And people like you are more of a problem... people smart enough to know better but choose religion because they just don't like using the mush between their ears... falling back on God to fill in the gaps.
