            • Don't worry. You'll still be able to support child rapists. You just can't do it and call me a pussytwat.

That would require me to actually post there...

                • The forums could use quite a bit of re-arranging. The site navigation needs work too. There's 3, sometimes 4 different types of menus. (That's just vB though ... but it can probably be fixed.)

Yes, it's all just 'rearranging deckchairs yadda yadda'. Thank you for taking the time to clear that up for me, and not wasting your time on anything as pointless as actually asking for the reasons for the design suggestion.

Dude, I was really just amused by the omission of Civ5. Either it was a simple oversight on your part or a deliberate decision. Either way, it's amusing.

As I explained in the same post, under that system the main forum for each section would be dedicated to the current game (ie the one most new posters would come looking for) and last I checked the latest game was still Civ 5. The point being to get away from a structure where the vertical layout is so extensive that people unfamiliar with it have to go searching for the content they need. By dividing into several clearly defined sections (General, Creation, Multiplayer, University) at the highest level, you can hide away the less used content in the depth, while keeping it all reasonable simple to both access and maintain without recourse to just archiving forums.

Given that there's likely to be a fair amount of pre-BE content however, it might be better having BE as the general and having 5 as a subforum given we're a fair way into it's lifespan already.

                        • I didn't see AC on that lineup - one of the more active on-topic areas, so a mistake to dismiss/overlook...

I might believe your explanation, except for this bit...

You go straight from BE to 4 in your description, without any mention of 5. If you mean that the forum marked "Civ General" is where Civ 5 goes, then okay. But to me, that's not even remotely clearly from your explanation. To me, it looks like you're omitting Civ 5 for some reason. But I'm done picking on you. I thought it was amusing, but I didn't intend to get into a protracted fight about your forum design layout. Your suggestions aren't all bad.

                            • I do wonder whether AC really needs to be counted under Other Games? Couldn't it slot in neatly under Civ Series really?
