The court of public opinion doesn't care what you think. He was toast the second that conversation was made public.

The NBA had to distance themselves as quickly as possible since there were discussions of players saying they wouldn't play.

The NBA couldn't allow that to happen during the playoffs.

There was no other way this was going to end. Yes, it will probably be in the courts for years, but I'll bet that the NBA bylaws make it stand.

And yet they permit players to have gang affiliations? I'm not seeing how the NBA comes out a winner here. Privacy is privacy.

So why have bylaws at all? Why can't they just strip an owner and take over control of the teams themselves? They have rules, and like it or not, are bound by them. That they chose to associate voluntarily with a known racist for years and years and were more than happy to take his money to promote themselves, hey that sucks.

Silent about what? They covered it up to save themselves from a scandal, with no concern about the victims. In many cases they threatened the victims and their families not to come forward. They were more concerned about the image of the church than helping the people whose lives were destroyed.

So we have men sexually abusing boys. What do we call that, Ming? Maybe if we let the men sexually abusing boys marry women this will fix this problem. Right?

And again, few abusers, concentrated in certain dioceses, including Weakland's.
