Pax, I've never attacked your profession, your employer or your livelihood. I could care less about personal attacks directed at me.

These are good people and they deserve your respect, as fellow American citizens. I'm not asking you to apologize to me, but to them.

Like they frown on certification

All our teachers have a 4 year degree in the subject that they teach. Most of them have 10+ years experience in the field. Most have taught in public schools and most of them are in fact certified. The school does not require certification - but that's a far cry from saying that they abhor certification. They have encouraged me to get certification, and have said they will give me the time off to pursue it. Right now, it's not practicable because they need me teaching. So 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

Then by all means attack my approach. Attack my perceived distortions. But don't claim that my school is ****ed up because you disagree with how I choose to teach. The curriculum is very good and our students do quite well (20th percentile on average) when compared to the average Texan.
