This is a funny thread shot through with all kinds wildly differing opinions and attitudes bordering on the OCD...

Clearly if we avoid some of the extremes of attitudes from both sides, we end up with: Wash when needed (clothes/body), and if your SO thinks you're not doing it enough - up your game - is it that difficult, people!?

It's likely that if it gets to the point that a GF has to say something and it's news to you you've been annoying a lot of other people for a very long time. They won't say anything, but it will affect your relationships and career.

I'm loath to speculate there. Whoever this girl is, she's been with Al long enough to know at least a few of his rough edges. The deodorant thing may just be a manifestation of an urge to control/mother someone. Or not. I don't know her.
