Marriage equality is now the law of the land in Oklahoma. A court has struck down the state's ban on marriage equality stating that it violates the equal protection clause of the US constitution.

One justice can try to overturn constitutional amendments barring gay marriage and passed by the state legislatures. Either the states have the right to decide or they do not. If they try to rule that the states do not have the right - they've just abolished the tenth right there.

Actually it was a series of judicial challenges that overturned the anti-same sex laws in Canada. The Conservative government of the day decided not to rewrite the legislation, so homosexual marriage was legal.There's nothing wrong with the dream, my friend, the problem lies with the dreamer.Comment
