Aside from being stupid and offensive. Obesity is a bad example because it too is not a choice. Nobody wakes up one day and says "I choose to be obese!"

There are largely genetic issues at play. In addition to that, the introduction of trans fats and high fructose corn syrup into the food supply caused a drastic increase. We're still at the early stages of fully understanding their effects on the human body. But those two substances basically tell the body to become fat, regardless of the amount that is consumed. Because of their prevalence in the food supply, most people develop weight issues as a result of them without knowing they were consuming such dangerous substances.

But then again, in the simpleton's mind, everything starts and ends with personal responsibility. So therefore, everyone is to blame for what happens to them.

It's a perfect ideology, really. Because the people that believe in such nonsense therefore are able to avoid all responsibility themselves for the problem... in the sense that the solution is political. And using the government to solve problems... well that's just WAH WAH FREEDOM THANKS OBAMA
To us, it is the BEAST.

Come on, that's his most coherent post in a month. A thing of beauty.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

The least you could do when you insult people is be funny. But you can't even do that.
Geesh. You have a corncob rammed up your ass.

If you're going to specialize in insult comedy you have to be able to take it. If you can't take it then you shouldn't engage. Hey, I can laugh at myself. I thought you made a decent joke that successfully played on the ambiguity I left. I felt that joke warranted a yo mama joke in response. Perhaps I should have added, "trebek" to it to make it funnier. Over the top - bombastic, bluster.

And comparing being obese and being gay, is really offensive, and a new low for you.
Are you saying Obesity is a choice?

It's gonna get worse around New Year's.

My incoherency in the last year has been effort related.

No, I'm saying what I said. That your comparing the two is offensive and a new low. I'll say it again if I wasn't clear enough.

No, I'm saying what I said.
If Obesity isn't a choice then I don't see why comparing it with something that also isn't a choice is offensive.

That your comparing the two is offensive and a new low.
Why do you find this comparison offensive? Do you believe that overweight people are treated kindly in America?

Google is your friend. There's such a preponderance of evidence at this point... there's little excuse to not know about how it works.

I don't mind not supporting that statement either. If someone wants to hang their hat on a counter-argument just because I didn't spend an hour finding links, that's fine. I'll accept the victory of being too lazy to do all that bull****. Being on the right side of facts is good enough for me.

Not in the slightest. But I'm not surprised you would believe this... or say so just for the sake of trolling.

                          By saying
Obesity comes packaged with very real health risks. So does homosexuality.
And using it as an excuse to attack gay rights is quite offensive to me. And a new low for you.

I don't quite understand the point of comparing the two either. It's like saying, GAY PEOPLE SHOULD BE SHAMED AND HATED... LOL LIKE FAT PEOPLE.

The idea that a glucose/fructose solution simply "tells" the body to get fat regardless of how much someone consumes is ludicrous.

                                Who said that?

                                Can you read?

                                HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP

                                TRANS FATS

And don't misunderstand. The amount does matter. You can consumer 1g of trans fats and feel very little long term ill effects. The problem is, doing so doesn't happen in a vacuum. Consuming a certain level consistently, over time, has a profound effect. It affects appetite. It lowers metabolism. It, itself, gets stored as fat rather than as lean tissue.

Honestly, I'm not going to do the work for you. Read up on the subject if you wish.

I don't have time to spoon feed some idiot.
