  • Discovered this on the door of a CS professor's office

This is just depressing. Aren't professors supposed to have critical thinking skills?

In response to the poster: Yes I did, and no, the evidence probably won't.

Some people just have blind spots - even otherwise intelligent people. Apparently, even 12 years later...

Scary thing is, the current college-age population is young enough that I wouldn't be surprised if some didn't know about building 7. That makes this pretty effective propaganda. Ugh.

CS people aren't exactly known for their critical thinking skills. The only prof I ever had that was a racist doorknob was a CS prof.

I don't see what's so wrong about suggesting the government blew up Building 7, after the terrorists took out the twin towers. Building 7 would have looked weird without the towers so it was a design thing I think.

I mean it was literally called "Building 7." What is this bladerunner? Equilibrium? NYPD made the right choice taking it down while everyone was distracted.

The fact that Building 7 collapsed because of a fire inside? I have spoken with 9-11 truthers before - nothing pisses me off more than hearing, "no, Bush did it himself". Gawd.

I said the NYPD did it. Take the penises out of your ears.

Well, there were these economy professors who argued that deregulation of the investment banking sector was a good thing.
On checking their income tax statements a smart journalist found that more than 2/3rd of their annual pay came from said investment banking sector.

Lack of critical thinking skills seems to bother you only in certain cases.

Are you asserting that CS profs in a university are mostly liberal?

Intelligence often comes together with eccentricity and/or blind spots.

Yeah but Economics is a (somewhat) joke subject and CS isn't.
