I'm not retarded, Alby. The man's not my boss. I have no relationship to him whatsoever, actually. He's just some random ******* who is affiliated with the same enormous organization as me. I'm smart enough not to do that at WORK. Don't get on your high horse.

Paid more than me? What does that have to do with anything?

That was actually totally uncalled for, which is why I edited it out. Cheers.

I'm a Marine officer and an accountant at one of the world's premier financial institutions. Pretty sure in normal America I'm doing pretty well, if not a role model.

How do you even know that?

Land Nav's ****ing hard, especially in the summer and especially when you're red-green colorblind like I am (the boxes are red). About 1/3rd of the company failed. We remediated and passed. It's one event of many.

Besides, lieutenants aren't to be trusted with a map and compass anyway

Now what does that have to do with anything? I've completed and done well in the world's most challenging entry-level military training regimen. That is something to be proud of.

Al, you do deserve credit for actually achieving your dream, after we all said you couldn't. You took a big risk, and it paid off.

...in the narrow sense that you got what you wanted. I stand by what I said: you're Jay Gatsby, the USMC is Daisy Buchanan and her stupid green light. It just so happens that you were silly enough to marry the little ditz.

With that said, I really wouldn't go posting that crap on FB, HC. I don't know what exactly will come of it, but I don't think it'll be anything good. Too late now, anyway, so I guess I'm just setting up for a potential I-told-you-so. You know, like a good friend would do.

Elok, I weighed the potential hazards of posting this. They really are zero.

I don't know CMU, but couldn't you wind up wasting a couple of hours with some pissant public safety disciplinary student advisory whatsit? Possibly with consequences for your academic and/or social life? Don't assume freedom of expression applies in a modern university setting.

Uh, no. We don't even have anything like that.

I mean, it's not impossible, but it apparently has been up there for a while, so I assume he would have torn it down.
