Ultimately? You focus on creating a society that is capable of maintaining it's health and productivity. For example, the way that Walmart uses people as effective slave labour is a good example of what shouldn't be acceptable (http://policymic.com/articles/45893/...imum-wage-jobs). Socialized medecine isn't the be-all-and-end-all solution, it's a tool to reach the point where people are supported to maintain their health so that they can continue to contribute to society, rather than detract from it. The fact is that most people, regardless of political affiliation or personal beliefs, fail to grasp what the point of a society is.

How this interacts with people's fears of death and wanting to be kept alive at all costs, now that's a completely separate issue and one that people have a wide variety of views on. I agree with you that spending so much money on life prolonging treatment is expensive, but the ethical concerns of society are so varied it is a hard topic to talk about without some people resorting to calling it a debate about senicide.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Racism is too prevalent within the Tea Bagger movement. So again, why should bigotry and hate be respected?

Last I checked the party that didn't support slavery was the party that has tea party members. Why, if you assert that racism is prevalent would the racists find their home there instead of the party that did support slavery?

The party of Wilson, that was actively quoted as supporting Jim Crow?

Perhaps the answer is that the tea party, isn't racist at all and is combatting racists? Like planned parenthood which seeks to reduce black political power through the means of abortion? They've been remarkably successful in their goal.

I think there is plenty of intelectual dishonesty in both camps. As an example, Fun just went on about how none of his posts should be taken seriously (clown nose on) and then continues in a spirited defense as to why his posts should be taken seriously.
