    Yep, have seen House of Cards.

            Don't use your vacation time until you have to and instead just catch up on house work. Mow the lawn, plant that flower bed your wife has been bugging you about, paint the living room or what ever you have on your list.

              You guys are being silly. They'll make some deal at the 11th hour to kick the can down the road a few months. They always do.
              I don't think they will. Republicans are actually increasing their unreasonable & will never pass demands instead of decreasing them so it seems obvious that they're going off the cliff like the lemmings they are. Seriously, they have a list of dozens of items and they're adding more to the list every day all of which are dead on arrival so all they're doing is just creating more road blocks not trying to actually solve the problem and do their damn jobs.

              Oh, and DD, the Republicans won't get a damn thing by attempting to destroy the economy by causing an unnecessary default on the national debt. The President will just, rightly, invoke the 15th amendment, ignore them, and have the fed issue the bonds any way. The Supreme Court will uphold it as constitutional too.

                Obama actually wants the shutdown to happen. Despite the delusion of too many republicans, the shutdown will only hurt them.

                      Yeah, I really liked it. Scheming is always fun - esp with the 4th wall breaking. I may have even liked it better than the British original version (then again, I'm more familiar with American politics).

                            Dozens? Your math is impeccable.

                            10 = dozens .

                              Well he's 1/2 right. Based on recent reporting, it seems you quite literally can't be fired Imran.

                                News to me... I know people who have been "asked to resign" from federal employment. So maybe that's what they mean - they technically weren't fired.
