Having a college degree makes you INHERENTLY not poor, because you have an extremely valuable asset that lots of other people don't have. That is doubly true for a graduate degree.

In a discussion about upholding the status quo because of some misguided belief that shutting up and taking it up is a sign of maturity, no, I dont see much difference. You ****s hate rocking the boat no matter what it is. You are personally affronted when someone says "man, this whole college thing is a ****ing racket. You ****s would be against the repeal of jim crow based on the principle of not rocking the boat and blacks needing to just suck it up and if they dont like it they can move to detroit and get those good automotive jobs. I dont have to justify it because I'm not judging people based on choices they make. Regardless of what choices people make, I dont want people to be caught in a situation where they are punitively punished by a bunch of self righteous *******s who use perfect hindsight as a proxy for any real cogent philosophy. Essentially everything you and reg are saying here is people that make bad choices (as you and reg have decided) need to live with them in perpetuity and we as a society shouldnt suffer the fool that makes one bad choice once.

You get an english degree? Your life is over, shut up and resign yourself to being poor.
