Sodium, fat, and carbohydrates are all, to some extent, "good for us." The trick is getting the quantities right. Now, it's quite difficult to die from drinking too much water--you have to drink a ridiculous amount, ignoring strong warning symptoms, before your brain swells up, jams your medulla down into your spine and kills you--but it's not at all obvious that drinking more than is strictly necessary will provide significant benefit.

It won't produce a benefit, it'll just make you piss more. It passes right out of your body.

If you drink more water, you will generally drink less of other things. And likely eat less as well. Even if you don't, adding water to your system will dilute whatever is in there, making nutrient uptake somewhat more difficult.

Since most Americans are fat-asses and/or eat/drink too much crap, I think it's pretty safe to say that there would be a net benefit to health if everyone drank an extra glass of water a day.

Plus it will help the fluoride in the water make us more docile and easier to control.

This was very irresponsible of Mrs. Obama:

Hopefully, some concerned republicans will come forward and ban this deadly substance before the democrats kill us all.

                      No shit, captain obvious.

Where did you get the idea that the First Lady is telling us to say, drink 50 gallons of water a day?

I like to imagine all paleo girls are wearing fur bikinis and a big bone in their hairdos. Makes the mental image much more tolerable. And sexy.
