Many military benefits are earmarked specifically to married people and cannot be disbursed to single people. If you are not married in the eyes of your state you are not married for the purposes of military compensation. States have leeway over how their soldiers are paid but the admin personnel do not.Comment

It's a free country. I don't see why a Christian should have to compromise their beliefs. This works both ways as well. A Christian should be able to run a bakery without some gay couple throwing a snit fit and suing them.I agree.
