Erm, what? Over 20 of those are urban areas. All 25 if you use a liberal definition of urban, certainly in the 20s.
If it were urbanity that were the controlling factor, wouldn't we expect to see more urban areas appear at the top of this list? The list of the top 100 cities by population density does not correlate well with this one.

If you are trying to turn yourself into DFG Jr, well, good luck to you.
Do you want me to post the statistical average demographic profile of all 100 cities on this list and compare it with the statistical average demographic profile of America as a whole?

      Apparently Snoopy finds facts racist.

How exactly is any of this racist? I've simply taken a list (not my own), from a source intending to compile a list of 100 cities over 25k, organized by their relative rate of crime. Are you asserting that my source is racist? Have I made an error in my analysis?

That there is a statistically significant correlation between cities with high crime and counties voting for Obama (moreso than one would come to expect when looking at America as a whole), proves that "areas that engage in heavy crime vote Obama". That Obama voters in general engage in heavy crime cannot be proven by this source, only that counties containing cities which engage in heavy crime" are far more likely to vote for Obama.

Anyways, if folks want to see the aggregate profile (averaging out all 100 and giving you what the average profile would look like), let me know and I'll run that this afternoon. Unfortunately some here believe that such analysis is racist.

Your error is in calling your posts "analysis" rather than the trolls they are.

Actually there probably is a correlation to higher crime in black areas. I believe, however, that it is linked more to the denial of economic opportunity for blacks than it is to any inherent function of race. It should be a signal that more needs to be done to bring equal opportunity to black neighborhoods.

This thread has me very interested in South Carolina which defies the analysis. All three of the high crime areas are in Romney-leaning counties (Myrtle Beach, Spartanburg and Greenville). I am wondering what's so special about them to produce these results. Louisiana is another. I am guessing that there are significant inter-county divisions, but that might be wrong.

That seems to be the most significant factor. Black folks are only about 10 percent of America, but areas with significant numbers of black folks are dominating this list just from a quick and dirty analysis. The aggregate profile I think would be interesting to see. I don't see how pointing out this connection is racist insofar as the facts (and facts collected for a completely neutral purpose), demonstrate it to be true. Facts are facts. Arguing that facts themselves are racist does a disservice to research. The problem cannot be corrected unless we come to the correct conclusions.

So if I never actually mentioned race why did you label me a racist?

I most assuredly have not done that.

Surely you have me confused with someone else. I mean, the thread is right here. Anyone can read it to confirm that fact. Sometimes your lying just seems compulsive.

I did call you a troll, and I stand by that.
