EDIT: Don't know where Imran stands on the issue.
I was talking about his little "disagreement" with Molly Bloom on South Africa.

My position on the issue of abortion is that I think it should be banned after the 24th week (at least), except if the physical health of the mother is at risk. I think reasonable restrictions on abortion should be ok in the 2nd trimester (though I think the Texas rules go too far, FWIW). And I believe there should be very limited if any restrictions in the first trimester (I'm ok with the "Morning After Pill").

Because stupid right wing religious bigots prevent teenagers under their control from getting access to condoms, the morning after pill and the vaccine against genital warts. Still, shouldn't be bothering uptight virgin iron pants types like you. No risk of you getting pregnant.

A much better method for regmediocrity prevention
is time travel and retrospective abortion.

I quite agree. Failing that, they should be able to let their waters break in your mouth, if possible.

You talk as if there might be ever be some doubt of you being in error. Thinking like a mediaeval pontiff is a sure way of getting there..

                • It all depends on what qualifies as a person with rights. If human = person and non-human = non-person, then at some point in our evolutionary history a non-person must have given birth to a person. Where you draw that line is arbitrary. Of course, in the general public there's probably a strong correlation between being pro-life and being a creationist.

                  • Non-humans became human when a giant black obelisk taught them how to bash in skulls with rocks. I saw it in a documentary once.

That was HC and Jaguar. Molly's been hung up about a minor error I made when I first joined the site over whether ZIPRA or ZANLA blew up a couple of Rhodesian airplanes 40 years ago, as if it ****ing matters.

The thread where Jaguar ****ing owned Molly on Xhosa and the gumboot line dance is a piece of comedy gold.

Wait, so when he annoys you over getting trivial **** wrong, it's petty, but when other people annoy him over getting trivial **** wrong, it's comedy gold? How does that work?

Alas, poor Jaguar was wrong, just like you. I quite enjoyed seeing him make a fool of himself, much as I enjoy seeing you and H.C. litter 'Poly with your undereducated overstimulated posts. You're both such easy meat.

Had he read anything on the mining industry in South Africa, he'd have known that the majority of the South African mining workforce were indeed Xhosa. The information was readily available in several general works on African history (not specifically South African history) and also available in more specialized essays, such as 'Migrancy & Male Sexuality On The South African Gold Mines' by T Dunbar Moodie, Vivienne Ndatshe & British Sibuyi.

But don't let anything as simple as plain facts colour your misinformed recollection. What was it you wrote in glee at Jaguar's supposed triumph- something banal like 'Ice Burn'? How I laughed.

Wait, reg. Where do you stand on the ZIPRA/ZANLA controversy ?
Wherever the latest self-serving right wing memoir tells him to stand, I suspect.

Hold on! Have some posters here still not read Migrancy & Male Sexuality On The South African Gold Mines by Moodie, Ndatshe, and Sibuyi? It was the most important work to come from the entire 1986 Conference on Culture and Consciousness in Southern Africa. I expected better from you all.
