No, it was Jesus proclaiming that He, and not Satan, was the master of Judas. And that while he would permit Judas to betray him - the true end of Christ would be fulfilled. He came to suffer and die on a cross.

The Gospel of Judas was left out of the NT because it is radically different from the other gospels, and it's basically a conspiracy theory. It's only as hard to comprehend as you make it.

I can see how supporters of one conspiracy theory would want to disallow competing conspiracy theories from being heard. I just don't understand why God would choose for His Church to adopt the conspiracy theory that helped feed into centuries of hatred and bloodshed.

I don't know either. I don't disbelieve the Gospel of Judas because it's a conspiracy theory, I believe in the other gospels because of what they say.

My pastor gave an excellent sermon today. I'll give you the short version. A missionary was serving in Africa and no one was attending his church. One day he looked outside his window and he was watching his son play with the other boys when his son fell and hit his head. He died. At the funeral the man tried to read from the scriptures but he couldn't. He and his wife just started crying. One of the villagers said, look he cries like us!
