This is what I've been saying! Just more...directly.

All religion is meaningless symbolism. Why pick on Mormons?

I mean, other than the obvious.

      ACK!

It depends on the stage of development of the fetus. If you're talking embryo, which is the actual case, no issue at all. You're dealing with a tissue mass with no sentience whatsover.

            • "Before" formed in the womb? i.e. prior to conception. Written in a primitive worldview where every act was pre-ordained by fate.
The next line is "Before I knitted you, etc. Early stages in the womb - after conception and it's still you. If it's primitive, it's meaning has clearly eluded you.

Sure, if they're already dead. I have my little organ donor dot on my driver's license. If someone can use my parts after I can't, then good for them.

I believe that's my argument. Why use them? You don't need them.

Its meaning is perfectly clear. It is mythology written by men, for men (because women were so much property) with no understanding of science, biology or medicine. Or naval architecture or logistics or much of anything else. The vocabulary for those concepts didn't even exist. So pardon me if I think it has as much appicability to the real world, as, say, a Danielle Steele novel. Oh, and this is the same book that refers to talking snakes and women being made out of a guy's rib? God could create the whole universe from nothing, but when he decided to make a woman, he needed to borrow the guy's rib? Oh, and he didn't want them to have sex (tree of knowledge and all that), but he made them with sex organs? Earth standing still, parting of the red sea, Lot's wife, Jonah and the whale and all that, plus 500 year lifespans, and I'm supposed to take any of that literally? Let alone use it as justification to shove my world view down anyone's throat by force of law?

Hope you don't mind if I listen to actual medical doctors and researchers in the field, rather than you?

And no, your point is to prohibit others from using them, based on your world view.

Typical Republican, only cares what happens to "people" in the womb.

It is curious. Why did God create Adam and Eve with sexual reproductive organs?

                              • I'm impressed with the fact that Moses apparently had electron microscopes and petri-dishes so that he could take a pair of each microbial lifeform onto his ark, and save them.

But then he forgot to save the dinosaurs .....
