Did ANY of you ever play Civ? After you built a city, what did you build pretty quickly, at least in MP, which is what really matters.
You have a city and resources, you needed someone to protect it. Why do you think that might be? Do you think it might be to keep your civilization from being destroyed?

You guys should really stop and listen to yourselves occasionally. You spent billions on an endless arms race with yourself, obsoleting your own equipment long before anyone else has even matched the old stuff and then claim the rest of us aren't defending ourselves properly?

As for Europe not being able to defend itself, the EU has the second biggest defence budget on the planet. The UK alone is only just behind China, so who on earth is it we need to bankrupt ourselves defending against?

Yes, you build a military sufficient to counter possible threats. You don't just keep spamming more and more when you're not in any real danger. That's a waste of resources that could go into city improvements that would make your city better. Unless, of course, your plan is to be a threat to other civilizations (and it's obvious Republicans want to spend a ton of money on the military so America can more easily invade and occupy other countries) .
