        2, I love my job.
3, It gives me relevant work experience in my desired field.
4, It pays me enough to live.

All of my needs at present are being met by this job. I am applying for better positions. Eventually I will land one of them, and take the next step up. Until then, I'm happy to work where I am at, for people that I respect and doing a job that I enjoy.

How many of you here can say that?

I suspect that graph overstates things significantly (a lot of people probably take poor jobs that don't pay enough, but are better than nothing), but it's not exactly a surprise - you pay people not to work, they won't work.

That doesn't take away from the fact that if there are strictly less jobs available, due to a socioeconomic condition that is affecting the entire country, you probably need to give people a helping hand for a little while so they don't drown.
More like, you pay people with marginal skills not to work, who already don't have a high standard of living, many will avoid finding a job because it isn't worth the effort to find a new one till absolutely needed. When people with substantial incomes are fired or laid off, they don't remain that way for long, not only because they're in demand but because unemployment insurance is a gross step down in quality of life.

Probably not, considering as I worked as a delivery driver who's boss contracted us out to McDonalds. So our little town had Mickey D's delivery if you just dialed up our number.

Except that your grasp on history is absolutely appalling, and you draw wildly unfounded conclusions based on your own preconceptions.

My evaluations and student performances suggest otherwise. Of course, I could teach 'history according to Kentonio', but then my students would actually do worse, and I'd likely be fired.

Considering your evaluations are being carried out by a bunch of god bothering southrons, why would that prove anything?

Same 'God-bothering' southrons who ran mission control, FWIW. Last I checked the UK has never landed a man on the moon.

It's actually about 12k than 10, but I budget 10 so that I err on the good side.

Rent is 500/month. I have no other fixed monthly expenses. I have food stocked up. I spend about 20/wk on food and incidentals and I use up about 3/4. Gas is probably about another 20. Most of this gets defrayed by work I do for my neighbours who don't have cars - picking up groceries and the like.

Most months I spend between 100-200. Since I moved in here, I've been adding to my food stash and putting the rest of it away every month. Saving 300/month, every month really adds up, especially if I can defray all my incidentals outside of rent.

I don't go out to eat more than once a month and I don't go out and spend money on anything else.

Back in Canada I was used to living off about 6.5k a year and anything extra, and I mean everything extra I saved. This feels like heaven.
